5 Healthy Office Must-Haves

5 Healthy Office Must-Haves

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be hard when you are stuck at a desk all day. Here are a few things to keep at your desk to keep yourself on track:

    1. Reusable Water Bottle

      • Water helps keep you awake throughout your day and can keep you from snacking while you’re working! You can even bring some fruit in your lunch box to add to spice it up!
    2. Tennis Shoes

      • If you have some down time or finished lunch early, go for a quick speed walk around the building or up and down the stairs. Maybe even grab a few coworkers to join with you! Studies have shown just 30 minutes a day of exercise can reduce your risk of heart disease and developing type 2 diabetes.
    3. Healthy Snacks

      • Did your coworker bring in birthday treats? Or is someone sharing their Girl Scout cookies? Try keeping some healthy snacks in your desk drawer. Maybe some cashews or even some dark chocolate so that you don’t feel left out!
    4. Take Time to Stretch

    5. Hand Weights

      • If you are feeling especially ambitious, you could bring some hand weights to work and use them for a quick arm workout or even to bring with you on your walk around the building!
