Easy Mother’s Day Recipe for Kids
Mother’s Day is the perfect time for getting kids in the kitchen, they love feeling like they are doing something special for Mom. Citrus Delicious Fruit Salad is simple enough for all ages to pitch in and help. We know that when children help prepare food, they are much more likely to eat and try new foods. This recipe can be used for brunch, lunch or dinner and is a great side dish with any type of entrée.
Citrus Delicious Fruit Salad
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon mayonnaise (can use reduced or fat-free)
3 tablespoons orange juice
1 pint (2 cups) strawberries, sliced
1 kiwifruit, peeled, cut up
1 cup seedless green grapes, cut in half
1 banana, sliced
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained
Combine yogurt, mayonnaise, and orange juice by whisking in a small bowl. Wash and cut fruit into a serving bowl. Pour yogurt mixture over fruit. Stir together and chill in refrigerator until serving time. Enjoy!
